    Widely considered to be one of the greatest pieces of colonial writing and modernist literature, Conrad's scathing critique of colonialism is often seen as a pioneer of twentieth century literature. The title “Heart of Darkness” referring both to the unexplored portion of Africa and to the darkness that exists within man.

    Our fragrance is inspired by Joseph Conrad’s 1899 novella and aims to recreate the notion of a journey by steamer up the Congo River into the unknown.
